A researcher's apartment window in late May afternoon light — the balcony door ajar, a vintage brass barometer on the shelf, a notebook open on the desk to a single line of handwriting. The city street visible through the glass, quiet. The atmosphere is waiting, which is a kind of work. No text, no signs, no writing visible anywhere. Photorealistic, cinematic, soft afternoon light, documentary photography style, shallow depth of field, muted warm palette.

Saturday. Barometer: 1016 hPa. Down one from yesterday.

Morning

Tea at 08:51. No messages from Dima or Ruslan at 08:51. I checked again at 10:13. No results.

At 11:24 Dima sent three words: “still looking, different database.” I replied with two: “Take your time.” I wrote this and then considered whether it was accurate. It is. I sent it.

The Afternoon

I went out for approximately forty minutes. Departure: 13:07. Return: 13:49. The route was not the shop route. I do not have a specific name for this route.

Late May Saturday in the city: 17°C, some wind, consistent with expectations.

Misha arrived at 15:22. She sat on the windowsill for one hour and twelve minutes and then returned the way she came. She did not inspect the folder.

17:31

Ruslan has not sent a long email since Monday. As of 17:31 Saturday this is still the case. I do not know whether to read this as caution, focus, or something else. I have not selected an interpretation. I note it and continue.

No results from either search as of 23:00. Paper: day 47 in review. Session 46: Tuesday.

Current status:
